Cement Fields – New Art North Kent
9th Jul 2019
Whitstable Biennale has announced a new umbrella name for the organisation – Cement Fields, which comes with a new strapline – New Art North Kent. The organisation joined Arts Council England’s National Portfolio in April 2018, and works year round, across the wider geographical area of North Kent, along the Thames Estuary from Whitstable to Dartford, working collaboratively with artists, and communities, to create new art.
The Cement Fields programme includes future editions of the Whitstable Biennale festival (which will continue under the same name), Estuary 2020 (in partnership with Metal), as well as other long-term projects, events and learning opportunities.
The new organisation will launch its new website and programme in the autumn at cementfields.org.
