Speaking of this year’s award, Oliver Sumner, Manager of CVAN South East says:

“The standard this year was incredibly high, and we were so impressed by all the shortlisted artists.  We do not underestimate the challenges that our graduate artists have faced this year, and the obstacles they would have had to overcome.  It has been a particularly rewarding year to be involved in the Platform Award, and we know this is a sentiment shared by all the participating venues and universities.  We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the artists, venue partners and universities for their ongoing commitment to the award. We are particularly looking forward seeing who the panel select to be this year’s awarded winner at the ceremony in December”

The panel this year includes guest judge, and 2019 Turner Prize joint winner, Tai Shani who will announce the winner at the award ceremony on Saturday 5th December.  The ceremony will take place online via Zoom, which is free to attend, tickets available on Eventbrite – search “CVAN South East”
