Pallant House Gallery is a leading UK museum that stimulates new ways of thinking about art. They explore new perspectives on British art from 1900 to now through an ambitious programme of exhibitions and creative opportunities for all. They invite people from all walks of life to explore their world class collection in a distinctive setting in the heart of Chichester.
The Head of Communications will play a crucial role in driving the success, future development and positive cultural and social impact of Pallant House Gallery, through leading the Communications Department to promote actively the Gallery as a leading UK arts destination. As a guardian of the Gallery’s brand, and as lead on digital transformation and audience development, they will work to build brand loyalty, drive visitor growth and diversify audiences – critical steps towards the Gallery’s mission of sharing and stimulating new thinking on British art, and of playing a pivotal role in the creative lives of the widest possible audience.

The Registrar is responsible for the coordination and logistical arrangements of all movements of works of art in and out of Pallant House Gallery. This includes packing, transportation, indemnity and insurance arrangements for temporary exhibitions and displays. The post holder will execute this to agreed deadlines, to international museum standards, to lenders specifications and as cost effectively as possible. The Gallery Registrar will work closely with the Collections and Exhibitions team, Art Technician and freelance art technicians to deliver an ambitious programme of exhibitions and ensure the highest standards of care.
