Platform Graduate Award 2025 – Announcing the Shortlisted Artists
20th Aug 2025
The Platform Graduate Award 2025 celebrates emerging artistic talent from 13 universities across the South of England.
The work of 30 shortlisted artists will be showcased in a series of exhibitions in Plymouth, Brighton, Oxford and Portsmouth, with four final awardees due to be announced in October.
Launched in 2012, the Platform Graduate Award is a unique initiative celebrating emerging artistic talent in the South East and South West regions. Designed to provide crucial support to graduate artists at a pivotal stage in their careers, the award offers opportunities for exhibitions and professional development. In recognition of the particular challenges faced by artists in establishing their artistic practice post-university, the award will provide selected artists from each participating higher education partner with a £500 bursary and six months of mentoring support.
For the 2025 award we are again proud to partner with four visual arts venues across the South: Aspex Portsmouth, Modern Art Oxford, Phoenix Art Space in Brighton, and MIRROR/Arts University Plymouth.
CVAN South East and its partners are excited to announce the graduate artists selected for the first stage of the award. Their exceptional work will be showcased in the four exhibitions.
