The Constantly Moving Happiness Machine

11th Sep 2018

Join Milton Keynes based artist Anna Berry, and Jason Hickel, author of ‘The Divide’, for a discussion hosted by Kevin McConway, Emeritus Professor of Applied Statistics at the Open University. The talk takes place on Thursday 20 September, 8-10pm at Milton Keynes Central Library.

Explore the notion of ‘degrowth’ and how neoliberalism is enforced by global institutions; the beginnings of consumer capitalism as we know it and probe the nature of our role as consumers. Experience Anna’s exhibition inspired by these themes in the Event Space at Central Library from 11 to  29 September.

Anna Berry is a UK artist most known for creating socially – and politically-conscious pieces, creating large installations and often working with paper. Anna has exhibited throughout the UK including at Southbank as part of Unlimited and Tate Modern as part of Tate Exchange.

Book your ticket here.

The exhibition and public talk is supported by Arts Council England.
