Turner Contemporary Autumn Preview

9th Oct 2018

Join Turner Contemporary for the opening of Patrick Heron and Akram Zaatari: The Script on Thursday 18 October. The exhibitions will be opened by Maria Balshaw CBE, Director of Tate.

Patrick Heron is a retrospective exhibition that celebrates one of the most significant and innovative figures in 20th century British art. Patrick Heron played a vital role in the development of post-war abstract painting and this is the first major show of his work for twenty years.

Akram Zaatari is a touring exhibition of work by the internationally renowned Lebanese artist whose work is based on researching and studying the photographic record in the context of modern Arab societies. Through his practice Zaatari seeks to explore people’s attitudes while filming or photographing themselves.

Both exhibitions run until 6 January 2019.
