OSE launches the Young Associates Programme
26th Feb 2019
Open School East (OSE) will launch a new programme in autumn 2019: the Young Associates Programme (YAP). The YAP is the natural continuation of Open School East’s commitment to increasing equality of access to education and to making the arts a more open sector.
The 10-month long, free and accredited programme will seek to create a free high-quality pathway for local young people with artistic aspirations, towards a creative career and/or higher education. The YAP will work more specifically with young people who experience disadvantage and/or disenfranchisement from mainstream education.
The Young Associates Programme will be a place for young people aged 16-18 to develop life skills, confidence, and knowledge and techniques in a range of art and design forms, as well as to interact with leading international practitioners and industry professionals.
The Young Associates Programme is made possible through funding from Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust and Freelands Foundation.
