Announcing the Platform Graduate Award 2024 Winners

After an inspiring season of exhibitions showcasing the region’s most exciting emerging artists, the Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East (CVAN SE) and its partners are delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Platform Graduate Award.

This year’s recipients were selected in partnership with four leading arts organisations and higher education institutions across the South: Aspex Portsmouth, Modern Art Oxford, Phoenix Art Space in Brighton, and MIRROR, a collective initiative between Arts University Plymouth, University of Plymouth, and Falmouth University. The 2024 awardees are: Indigo Wills (Falmouth University/MIRROR), Kitty Reeves-Short (Brighton University/Phoenix Art Space ), Hima Bijoy (UCA Farnham/Aspex Portsmouth), Katrina and Luca Dayanc (University of Reading/Modern Art Oxford).

For the first time, an award has been made in each of the four exhibitions, rather than one single winner, highlighting CVAN South East’s commitment to nurturing a broader range of emerging artistic talent. Recognising the challenges artists face in establishing their practice post-university, this year’s awardees will receive a £500 bursary and six months of dedicated mentoring support from our team of expert partners.

Launched in 2012, the Platform Graduate Award is a renowned initiative that celebrates emerging artistic talent in the South East and South West. The award provides vital support at a pivotal moment in the careers of graduate artists, offering exhibition opportunities and professional development.The Platform Graduate Award 2024 exhibition programme will conclude this Autumn/Winter with final showcases at Aspex Portsmouth and Modern Art Oxford.
