Outside In’s programme for 2019
7th Mar 2019
It looks set to be a brilliant and busy year for the award-winning charity, which provides a platform for artists who face significant barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance or isolation.
Outside In’s 2019 programme is getting up to full speed. With four Step Up courses running, two exciting Share Art opportunities, a national exhibition call out, the Realm exhibition launching at CGP London, and one brand new job role – it’s only just the beginning.
It is also getting set to launch a new pioneering website, is hosting more ambassador training and, as ever, is sharing inspirational insights to the work of some of its 2,600 artists.
Founder and Director Marc Steene said:
It is a really exciting time. All of our work is aimed at reaching as many people as possible and opening as many doors as possible. It is the combination of what we offer, and the inspiring partnerships it is resulting in, which is seeing us take great strides.
Central to this is the recruitment for the charity’s first regional role, which will be based at Compton Verney in the Midlands.
Marc Steene explains:
It forms a vital part of Outside In’s plans to have a national spread of influence, partially in areas of low arts engagement. The ambition is to be widely acknowledged as a beacon of best practise.
