Young Contemporary Talent from The Ingram Collection
29th Jun 2018
This exhibition at The Lightbox draws from the Young Contemporary Talent branch of The Ingram Collection, and includes both established and up and coming artists such as Haroon Mirza, Harrison Pearce, Victoria Sin, Steven Ingman, and Tahmina Negmat.
Cutting-edge painting, sculpture, film and installation will all feature, celebrating the thought-provoking work being produced by young artists in the UK. The gallery will be taken over large-scale artworks across mediums, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
The Young Contemporary Talent from The Ingram Collection exhibition runs from 7 July to 16 September at The Lightbox in Woking.
The Ingram Collection started collecting ‘Young Contemporary Talent’ to give emerging artists a helping hand early on in their careers, and works acquired are exhibited as part of The Ingram Collection’s public loans and exhibition programme. The annual Young Contemporary Talent Purchase Prize was set up to celebrate and give practical support to young and emerging artists, and is open to all artists who have graduated from a UK art school within the last three years. The shortlisted works are showcased in an exhibition at a central London gallery, and three winning works are purchased by The Ingram Collection.
